Getting Unstuck #195: Closing the Post High School Divide
The problem
"Students from low-income communities, the majority of whom are students of color, face enormous barriers to earn their degrees, an injustice made worse by COVID-19. As a result, hundreds of thousands of young people transition to adulthood without the skills, experiences, and credentials needed to build careers and lives of their choosing." — OneGoal
The Solution
“OneGoal collaborates closely with high schools in low-income communities to identify teachers already working in their buildings and to create the conditions to ensure they can successfully teach OneGoal as a daily, credit-bearing class. We equip those teachers with a robust curriculum, training and coaching, and technology to guide a cohort of students (Fellows) to achieve their greatest postsecondary aspirations.” — OneGoal
